For the 2015 edition the LDF has launched the global campaign Save Tigers Now in collaboration with the WWF.
The Marbleman immediately dedicated himself to the cause, and imagined how to put up the M-Piano for auction in such a way to underline the theme of these endangered felines. M-Piano became Tiger M-Piano: Vanelli “tattoed” the candid white marble with stripes and colors that recall those of the tiger’s, adding porcelain inserts by jewelry designer Veronica Lenza.
The result is a striped pianoforte of extraordinary impact. It was put on auction on July 22nd in Saint Tropez and was sold for 700.000 euros to Barabara Berlusconi. During the auction, the piano was played by Elton John and John Legend.
