“Each species is a unique creation, a precious work of art. Yet in just the past 40 years we have lost half of the wild-life on the Earth. It’s up to us to become the caretakers of this planet. If not us, then who?”

These are the words that Leonardo DiCaprio asked gualtiero Vanelli to carve along the sides of the marble skin which covers the base over which the Ursus Arctos Horribilis erects with majesty. For the second consecutive year, The Marbleman has donated the latter precious and exclusive creation of his genius to the LDF Foundation: the sculpture Ursus Arctos Horribilis, which has been designed specifically for the third edition of the annual gala evening held in Saint Tropez on 20th July 2016 and during which the sculpture was sold at the auction for 580.000. With Ursus Arctos Horribilis, Gualtiero Vanelli pays homage to his friend Leonardo DiCaprio, the supporter of many battles for the environment, contributing to the celebration for the Academy Award for Best Actor given for the movie Revenant, directed by Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu.
